ErgoMove moves heavy replacement parts with ease

Order picking trolleys run ergonomically in continuous operation

The customer

EXPRESSO Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG is a premium manufacturer of lifting, handling, and transport solutions. All products are manufactured using a modular system to enable the realisation of individual, customer-specific solutions. The end customer is one of the world's largest manufacturers of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery.

The challenge

EXPRESSO manufactures trolleys for its end customer for picking spare parts for agricultural machinery. Loads of up to 1,000 kilograms are transported. In order to move these heavy loads as easily and ergonomically as possible, the manufacturer was looking for an electric drive system. This should be available around the clock, as work is carried out in multiple shifts. In addition, the batteries should be easy to change and a chip system should be integrated for unlocking and tracking the trolleys. Furthermore, EXPRESSO placed particular emphasis on maximum occupational safety.

Our solution

ErgoMove 1000With the ErgoMove 1000 electric drive system with power sensor, Blickle offers the perfect solution. It allows for intuitive movement of loads up to 1,000 kilograms and is particularly ergonomic for the operator. The powerful and quickly replaceable batteries ensure long-term availability. Maximum safety is ensured by the electromechanical dead-man's brakes, which prevent uncontrolled or unauthorised movement. Customer-specific requirements, such as the interface to the existing external release system via chips, were implemented as requested. In addition, the software was individually adapted by the ErgoMove specialists to make the application even more efficient and user-friendly. EXPRESSO is enthusiastic about the solution: “The use of ErgoMove has greatly improved our customer's processes. The powerful and quickly exchangeable batteries ensure 24/7 availability of the systems for transporting heavy loads,” reports Maximilian Kühn, Team Leader Field Service EXPRESSO. “Seamless integration with our release system also optimises authorisation control and tracking of travel times and distances.”
