The new ErgoMove: Moving everything. Anywhere.

Interview with the head of the business unit

The ErgoMove business unit was founded three years ago and has since been responsible for the entire product range of electric drive systems at Blickle. In order to be optimally equipped for the future, a new brand identity has been developed for ErgoMove. In this interview, Martin Wiest, Head of the Business Unit, gives us exciting insights into the development of the ErgoMove brand.

What was the reason for developing the new brand identity?

Martin Wiest: In recent years, the ErgoMove business unit has developed from a small ‘start-up’ into a successful division within the Blickle Group. The new brand identity is intended to strengthen ErgoMove's brand identity and reflect its strategic direction even better.

How did you come up with the claim ‘Moving everything. Anywhere’?

Martin Wiest: ErgoMove's innovative drive systems have created a completely new market segment and revolutionised parts of the working world. The new claim is intended to communicate the core message clearly and concisely. Our mission is to make life easier for working people, regardless of what they have to move by hand and regardless of where they work. Simply ‘moving everything. Anywhere’.

What's new at ErgoMove apart from the new look?

Martin Wiest: There's a lot to report: The brand new ErgoMove product brochure now includes all product series and gives our customers a detailed overview through the wide range of operating concepts, drive concepts, options and their different areas of application. We are also working on a new website that will significantly expand the range of information and services available to our customers. Furthermore, the ErgoMove solution portfolio has been significantly further developed and expanded over the last two years. In addition to even more compact or more powerful drive rollers, a lot has also happened in the area of operating concepts, which now enable an optimised human-machine interface for every application, from simple compact rotary encoders through force sensor cockpits to intelligent remote solutions.

Is ErgoMove distribution limited to the German-speaking countries?Martin Wiest

Martin Wiest: My team is particularly proud of the fact that we have managed to set up an international sales and service organisation for ErgoMove within a short space of time. This was possible because Blickle has a very dense network of specialist consultants on five continents. ErgoMove products are currently available in more than 25 countries in Europe and North America. It was important to us that our customers also have access to an established after-sales service.

Can you give us an outlook on what is on the agenda for ErgoMove in the near future?

Martin Wiest: The many successful projects in recent years have shown that ErgoMove is used in almost all industries, from the automotive industry through the chemical industry to the pharmaceutical sector and intralogistics as a whole. We want to systematically penetrate all industries in order to make work easier for people and help companies to simplify logistics processes and save costs. At the same time, we want to continue the success story with our highly motivated team by continuing to invest heavily in product development, expanding production capacities and the international service organisation.
