In the assembly area of the company, special demands are placed on the logistics service providers. Therefore, the company was looking for a caster with foot protection for transporting the heavy and sensitive aircraft components, which in addition to its protective function can also remove soil pollution and small parts from the track. The low rolling resistance plays an important role in the requirement for manual handling.

As the wheel is subjected to extremely high loads, a welded steel heavy duty fourwheeled caster with a heavy strong swivel head design was developed. The limited height thus ensures a stable rig and the pressure on the ground is distributed over a larger area. In order to be able to offer a very low rolling resistance and a high level of floor preservation, cast wheels with a high quality polyurethane elastomer Blickle Extrathane® have been proposed. In addition, the roller is equipped with a foot guard. The polyurethane wiper which is mounted on the foot guard brushes aside smaller obstacles and therefore facilitates a smooth ride.

The customer was not primarily concerned with cost savings, but they wanted to find the optimal product for their application. With the solution mentioned above and the reliable Blickle services, we were able to win the trust of the customer in a long term.
